An exciting opportunity for Consultant Dermatologists to join our team providing high-quality dermatological care. The successful applicant will join a team of consultants, supported by a team of GPwSI’s, Dermatology Nurses and Healthcare Assistant’s, providing a comprehensive dermatology service at our sites.
It is expected that the successful applicants will play an active
part in the development of the innovative dermatology service,
developing strong links with our colleagues. The post holder will work
closely with the dermatology team in delivering Dermatology Community
Service to the local population.
Supervision of one or more non-consultant grade clinical assistants
would be expected as well as participation in Continuing Professional
Development, annual GMC appraisal and accreditation and clinical

The general responsibilities of the post will be those expected of a
senior clinical employee of the Community Service. These include
provision of a first-class clinical service, effective leadership to all
staff involved in supporting the service, conducting clinical practice
in accordance with the highest ethical standards, co-operation with and
maintenance of confidentiality over business plans and development
strategies within the service, support for other clinical specialties
and contribution to postgraduate teaching. The appointee will be
expected to deliver a service covering all aspects of dermatology, but a
special interest to complement those of the existing consultants would
