The role 


The Contract & Business Development Manager position is an excellent career opportunity for an ambitious and skilled Contract & Business Development Manager to join our expanding and exciting businessYou will be responsible and accountable for contracts profitability and growth in your region and will manage all resources efficiently, in a cost-effective way, maintaining high quality patient care. You will drive business planning activities in your contracts ensuring relevant and challenging priority setting as ongoing performance tracking. 


You will be working from home but will spend time at clinical site locations, meetings with CCG partners as well as time at our South London Head Office, some of these digitally.  The regionsSouth and East England.

You will support the implementation of new services, as dictated by contract wins and growth of existing contracts. Any contract issues which during the operation of these contracts (business as usual) will be resolved by you, working with colleagues, fed back locally and recorded and escalated as appropriate.

The candidates 



  • Management of CCG contract meetings and reporting back to Head Office  

  • Accountable for managed contracts in your region 

  • Have a good knowledge of NHS pathway management, including e-Referrals Service 

  • Responsible for managing the workforce locally to fulfil contract and clinic needs  

  • Ensuring clinic sites are CQC compliant and documented at all times  

  • Responsible for generating contract and regional annual reports 

  • Accountability through profitability measurement via monthly management accounts 


  • Working closely with the Senior Team and Board, Service Administrators and the Clinical team to ensure that the quality standards & KPI’s are routinely met 

  • Support training & development of new services 

  • Quality management and reporting. Exceeding KPI standards including drawing in compliments, managing complaints and PROMs 

  • Driving Clinical Education locally in each contract and CCG 


Business Development  

  • Develop new and existing services within the region working closely with business development team and wider speciality services team 

  • Responsible for actively seeking new business opportunities within the region 

  • Driving demand for services in the local area  

  • Building the reputation of the company with CCGs 

  • Active promotion of business through exhibitions  

  • Input knowledge and experience of good practice into bids  


Your experience 


  • Substantial management experience in running patient services 

  • Have a strong ability to lead, influence and motivate the team 

  • Knowledge of NHS and GP procedures and relevant legislation 

  • Understanding of NHS organisational structure  

  • Understanding of rotas, finance and planning 

  • Qualified in management 

  • Full driving licence

As part of the benefits package you will be entitled to 25 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday.  The position is home based with travel to Head office and sites.
