An exciting opportunity for Consultant Dermatologists to join our team providing high-quality dermatological care. The successful applicant will join a team of consultants, supported by a team of GPwSIs, Dermatology Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, providing a comprehensive dermatology service at our sites.
The Role is based out on Sleaford Road, Boston.
It is expected that the successful applicants will play an active part in the development of the innovative dermatology service, developing strong links with our colleagues. The post holder will work closely with the dermatology team in delivering Dermatology Community Service to the local population.
Supervision of one or more non-consultant grade clinical assistants would be expected as well as participation in Continuing Professional Development, annual GMC appraisal and accreditation and clinical governance activities.
Main duties of the job
The Dermatologist will participate in tele-dermatology and outpatient clinics and will undertake dermatological diagnostic and surgical procedures as well as autonomous prescribing for patients in a community clinic, will report to the Service Manager and the Dermatology Medical Director and is responsible for delivery and supervision of all aspects of the dermatology service, in line with agreed aims and objectives. Will actively seek ways of reducing outgoings by new ways of working and motivating all the staff to deliver maximum efficiency.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Remote consultations via video and/ or telephone using our system one technology
- Conduct audits of clinical standards, Identifying & Reporting the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks
- Participate in tele-dermatology clinics to assess patient images and provide appropriate patient pathways
- Undertake 90% of procedures on the day of appointment as “see and treat”.
- Ensure that the patient is fully aware of procedure and treatment options and associated risks to facilitate informed consent
- Complete assessments and the associated reports for teledermatological episodes allocated to you within 24 hour of image capture

- You must be fully registered with the GMC, hold a Licence to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent to be eligible for interview.
